In the chart above Green shows the value received before, during, and after a training event while Blue shows the money spent. It is clear that 85 cents of every training dollar is spent on the training event. Only 5 cents is spent on learning retention which has been shown to yield 50% of the actual value of that training. It is clear to see that the least amount of funding is spent in the area that produces the greatest returns.
